On August 17, an explosion rang out in the center of Melitopol, near the headquarters of occupying Russian forces.

The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, informed about this in a telegram.
"A strong explosion rang out near the enemy's den in the center of Melitopol. Let me remind you that one of the occupiers' command posts is located here. We are waiting for details about the casualties among them," Fedorov wrote.
