The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Synegubov announced this on Telegram.
"Buses are still waiting at the entrance to Izyum. Now we cannot evacuate the population due to explosions that are heard in the vicinity. Despite the obligations of the Russian side, shelling continues", Synegubov wrote at 13:50.
The head of the Kharkiv region said that negotiations are underway through the mediation of the Red Cross to start the evacuation.
“We hope to evacuate the population today and bring in the humanitarian cargo that was collected in Kharkiv”, Synegubov added.
As of 15:13, there was no updated information from the head of the Kharkiv region.
