Europe's Internal Affairs Commissioner visits Kyiv
The European Commissioner for Internal Affairs Ylva Johansson has arrived in Kyiv on a visit
European Commissioner for Internal Affairs Jlva Johansson announced this on Twitter.
"I came to Kyiv to discuss with representatives of the Ukrainian government the practical implementation of the Directive on temporary protection, steps on the way to joining the EU, as well as, the European Union's unwavering support for Ukraine and its people", she wrote.
The European Commissioner also noted that almost 3.9 million Ukrainians are currently registered in the European Union.
"I am here to find out how best to support Ukrainians in EU countries and Ukraine, including those returning home from the EU. Rest assured that no matter what happens in the war, Ukrainians will always be warmly welcomed in the European Union", she added.
