European Commission to allocate EUR 100 million for reconstruction of destroyed Ukrainian schools
The European Commission will invest EUR 100 million in the reconstruction of Ukrainian schools destroyed during the Russian aggression.
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen wrote about this on Twitter.
“The future of Ukraine begins with its children. We are investing €100 million to rebuild the schools destroyed by Russia’s bombs. Sending school buses so children can go to and from school safely. Collecting and delivering laptops, so pupils can keep learning,” Ursula von der Leyen tweeted.
In particular, according to the European Commission, more than 2,800 educational institutions in Ukraine were destroyed or damaged as a result of Russian aggression against Ukraine. More than 5.7 million Ukrainian children felt the consequences of this barbaric Russian war.
