This was announced by the European Commission spokesman to the dpa agency, DW reports.
He called the British tabloid’s article saying that Ursula von der Leyen is seeking to replace Jens Stoltenberg as NATO Secretary General untrue.
"The Sun's reports are unfounded speculation," said the European Commission spokesperson.
Jens Stoltenberg is due to step down in October 2023. Ursula von der Leyen will lead the European Commission until the summer of 2024.
