EU transfers EUR 1 billion in financial aid to Ukraine
On August 2, the EU transferred the 1st tranche of its exceptional macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, worth EUR 1 billion

This was reported by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on Linkedin.
"We have allocated EUR 1 billion in exceptional macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. These funds will help Ukraine meet its immediate financial needs after Russia's unprovoked and unjustified aggression. EUR 1 billion will help strengthen Ukraine at a crucial stage", she wrote.
