EU to oppose any abuse by Russia during its UN presidency - Borrell
Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has said that European leaders will oppose any abuses of its position by Russia during its UN presidency
Josep Borrell wrote this on Twitter.
“Russia taking over today the UN Security Council presidency is fitting for April fools’ day. Despite being a permanent member of the Security Council, Russia continuously violates the very essence of the UN legal framework. The EU will stand against any abuse by the Russian presidency,” he tweeted.
He assured that the European Union would oppose any abuse of the UN presidency by Russia.
