EU to extend sanctions against Russia for six months – journalist Jozwiak

Radio Liberty correspondent Rikard Jozwiak wrote this on Twitter. 

“In the Hungary backed down! Again. There were first talks about 9 people (who were demanded to be removed from the sanctions list - ed.). Then 4. Yesterday 2. Today: agreement on 0 de-listings. But extension only for 6 months. Not 9 or 12 months as many other EU member states asked for,” he tweeted. 

Earlier, Politico reported that Hungary had demanded that four Russians be removed from the sanctions list, otherwise it would block the extension of restrictions against Russia.
