EU defense ministers will discuss military assistance to Ukraine

EU defense ministers will discuss military assistance to Ukraine at an informal meeting in Stockholm on March 7-8

This was reported by the BBC.

The two-day meeting, which opens on Tuesday, March 7, is expected to take place in three stages. First, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov will brief the EU ministers on the situation on the ground and the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Then the ministers will discuss the training of Ukrainian military by NATO instructors, and at the end they will consider the acceleration of military supplies, especially artillery ammunition, which Ukraine urgently needs.

The European Union has almost agreed on a plan for the collective purchase of ammunition for Ukraine, but the meeting of EU defense ministers is still awaiting discussion of the volume of supplies and sources of funding for their purchases.
