EU countries should buy weapons and munitions for Ukraine – Estonian PM
Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas says that EU member states should jointly buy weapons and munitions for Ukraine
ERR reported this with reference to a statement made by Kaja Kallas before the EU summit in Brussels.
“It is very important that we accelerate military assistance to Ukraine,” she emphasized.
Estonia has set a goal for the meeting to move forward the creation of a special international tribunal for Ukraine to address the crimes of Russian aggression.
In addition, the meeting is expected to address the use of frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, as well as increasing military assistance to Kyiv and building up the production capacity of the defense industry.
In the context of migration, Estonia focuses on cooperation with countries of origin and transit of migrants and strengthening the external border of the European Union.

On February 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron arrived in Brussels to participate in the EU summit. Earlier, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola announced that Volodymyr Zelenskyy would address the EU parliamentarians.
