Estonia announces new military assistance package for Ukraine
The Government of Estonia has approved a new package of military assistance to Ukraine, which will include drones, winter uniforms and personal protective equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
This was stated by Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur at a press conference in Tallinn.
"We continue to support Ukraine. And today we have decided on a new assistance package for Ukrainian servicemen. The package mainly concerns individual equipment, because this is what the Ukrainians specifically asked us for," the head of the Estonian defense ministry said.
According to him, the new package will include winter field uniforms, personal protective equipment and drones. The minister did not name the estimated cost of the aid package.
Pevkur added that since the beginning of the invasion Estonia has already provided Ukraine with military aid worth more than EUR 1 billion.
On December 9, 11 buses with generators and power equipment were sent from Estonia to Ukraine.
