Entire Odesa, except for critical infrastructure, has no power supply

The Odesa City Council shared the information on Telegram, December 10.

Due to large-scale destruction caused by the Russian attacks on the Odesa region, only critical infrastructure is connected to the power grid; households currently have no power.

According to Odesa’s mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, water supply and drainage are operating normally in the city. Eleven district and other smaller boiler houses are working; hospitals and maternity homes have power and water supply. Communal services work around the clock to restore the services.

All of Odesa’s Invincibility Points, buildings where people can charge devices and get basic necessities for free, are also available for the residents.

"Specialists of the DTEK energy holding company are working to eliminate the consequences of the attacks. The situation is difficult, but under control," Trukhanov noted.

Earlier, Maksym Marchenko, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said that due to Russian “kamikaze” drone attacks on Odesa, almost all districts and communities of the region suffer blackouts.
