Energoatom appeals to IAEA regarding Russian drone flying near nuclear facility at South Ukraine NPP
On the night of December 19, a Russian 'kamikaze' drone flew near the nuclear facility of the South Ukraine nuclear power plant (NPP). Energoatom applies to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Energoatom wrote about this on Telegram.
“Tonight, December 19 at 00:46, the flight of the Shahed 'kamikaze' drone over the site of the South Ukraine NPP was recorded,” the press service wrote.
It is reported that an enemy drone flew in the vicinity of a nuclear facility.
The agency stated that this is an absolutely unacceptable violation of nuclear and radiation safety and is appealing to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
“We appeal to the IAEA and the entire world nuclear community, informing about the fact of the flight of an attack drone over the site of the nuclear plant. We once again call to prevent nuclear facilities from being exposed to the risk of attack by the Russian army and posing a threat to the nuclear and radiation safety of Ukraine and the world,” Energoatom emphasized.
