Ukrainian forces destroy 1,150 Russian soldiers, 23 tanks, 44 armored vehicles per day

General Staff report: Defense Forces repel Russian attacks in 7 directions, most of all in Novopavlivka

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces countered two Russian attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fought off 12 Russian troops' attacks near Terny, Yampolivka in the Donetsk region and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces beat back 9 Russian attacks near Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces rebuffed 25 Russian attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian forces are holding back the invading Russian forces in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. Russian troops tried to break through Ukrainian troops' defenses 38 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed one Russian attack in the area east of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and repelling the Russian-backed assaults. Despite significant losses, the Russian troops are trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, the Russian forces conducted four unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian troops' positions.

Russian army launches 10 missile strikes and 105 airstrikes against Ukraine

Over the past day, 99 clashes took place. In total, the Russian forces launched 10 missile strikes, 105 airstrikes, and 163 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the  Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

6 settlements in the Kharkiv region; 3 settlements in the Luhansk region; 1 settlements in the Donetsk region; 1 settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region were hit by air strikes.

More than 120 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Ukrainian forces destroy 4 Russian artillery vehicles and air defense system

During the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 8 Russian personnel concentration areas.

Ukrainian missile units struck a Russian control center, 2 concentration areas for personnel, weapons and military equipment, 4 artillery pieces, an air defense system, an electronic warfare station, and another important target.

• Over the day, February 28, 79 combat engagements took place at the front. The Russian army attempted to attack Ukrainian forces 64 times. Most of the attacks took place in the Novopavlivka sector, Donestk region.
