Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate 860 Russian soldiers, 15 tanks, 73 armored vehicles overnight

Russia's total combat losses from 02/24/22 to 05/04/24 are estimated to be:

  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 8,847 (+30),

General Staff report: Russia intensifies attacks in Bakhmut direction - Ukrainian Armed Forces repel 30 attacks in a day

The situation on the northern Ukrainian border has not changed significantly. 

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army is conducting subversive activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas and is also mining the territory along the state border.

In the Kupyansk direction, the invading Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions over the past day.

In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repulsed four Russian attacks near Terny and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. The Russian troops tried to break through the Ukrainian defense.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers fought off 30 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianka in Luhansk region; Spirne, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Klishchiivka, Andriivka in Donetsk region. The Russian troops, with the support of aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled two attacks near Pervomayske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. The Russian forces tried to drive Ukrainian troops out of their positions.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Novomykhailivka, Velyka Novosilka and Urozhaine. The Russian troops, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defenses more than 20 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian military, supported by air power, made four unsuccessful attempts to attack Ukrainian troops' positions near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian forces keep trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, they made 5 unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions

Russian army launches 4 missile strikes and 80 air strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the last day, 65 clashes took place.

In total, the Russian forces launched 4 missile strikes, 80 air strikes, fired 108 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

1 settlement in Sumy region; 1 settlement in Kharkiv region; 1 settlement in Luhansk region; 16 settlements in Donetsk region; 2 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region were hit by air strikes.

About 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 2 artillery systems and a radar station

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 7 Russian troops' concentration areas and 2 anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile troops struck an area where Russian forces concentrated personnel, weapons and military equipment, 2 artillery systems, a radar station, an electronic warfare station and 2 air defense systems.
