Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate 2 Russian air defense systems, 13 tanks and 880 soldiers per day

Over the last day, 95 combat clashes occurred, with 40 Russian attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses in the Marinka direction; Ukrainian forces eliminated 880 Russian soldiers

The total Russian combat losses from 24.02.22 to 26.02.24 were approximately:

  • personnel – about 410,700 (+880)
  • tanks ‒ 6,555 (+13)
  • armored personnel vehicles ‒ 12,478 (+37)
  • artillery systems – 9,993 (+12)
  • MLRS – 1,000 (+1)
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems ‒ 686 (+2)
  • aircraft – 340 (+0)
  • helicopters – 325 (+0)
  • UAVs of the operational-tactical level – 7,707 (+26)
  • cruise missiles – 1,910 (+3)
  • warships/boats ‒ 25 (+0)
  • submarines – 1 (+0)
  • vehicles and fuel tanks – 13,037 (+26)
  • special equipment ‒ 1,580 (+2)
 

Russian shelling of Ukraine

Over the past day, the Russian forces launched 11 missile strikes, 98 air strikes, fired 129 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population.

Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other civilian infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.

Yesterday and last night, Russian aggressors attacked Ukraine once again, using ballistic and cruise missiles and kamikaze drones. According to preliminary information, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 3 missiles and 9 Shahed UAVs.

2 settlements in Sumy region; 21 settlements in Donetsk region; 5 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region were hit by air strikes.

More than 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Situation in the main frontline areas

Over the last day, 95 combat engagements took place.

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 6 Russian attacks near Synkivka and Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces fought off 5 Russian troops' attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces countered 8 Russian attacks near Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders defeated 25 Russian troops' attacks in the areas of Sievierne, Stepove, Berdychi, Lastochkine and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the Russian forces near Novomykhailivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region. Russian troops tried to break through Ukrainian troops' defenses 40 times.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the invading Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 6 Russian attacks near Robotyne and 1 near Huliaipilske in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and repelling the Russian troops' attacks. Despite significant losses, the occupying Russian forces are trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, the Russian troops conducted four unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian troops' positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 7 Russian forces' concentration areas and 2 anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukrainian defenders also downed 3 missiles and 9 Shahed UAVs.
