Russia loses 870 soldiers, 9 tanks and 21 artillery systems in one day in Ukraine - General Staff

General Staff report: 86 clashes take place on the frontline, Russia attacks in 6 directions

The operational situation in the northern Ukrainian border remains unchanged.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border.

In the Kupyansk direction, the invading Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 4 times near Torske and Yampolivka, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 25 attacks near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnokamianske, Vyimka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Novyi, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian troops fought off 16 attacks near Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Berdychi, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops near Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.The Russian military tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defenses 20 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 4 times near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian troops keep trying to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, they made 11 unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions.

Russian troops launch 11 missile strikes and 78 air strikes on Ukraine

Over the last day, 86 clashes took place. In total, the Russian forces launched 11 missile strikes, 78 air strikes, and 82 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements.

At night, Russian forces launched another massive attack on Ukraine, using cruise missiles of various types and Shahed UAVs. Data on this attack is being clarified.

Over the past day, 24 Ukrainian settlements were hit by Russian air strikes.

More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Ukrainian defense forces hit a Russian EW station and troop concentration

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 9 Russian troop concentrations. Ukrainian air defense forces also downed 2 Kh-59 guided missiles.

Ukrainian missile troops struck a Russian control center, 2 artillery pieces, an electronic warfare station, a troop concentration and an ammunition depot.
