Russian army loses 18 artillery systems and 810 soldiers per day - General Staff

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to February 5, 2024, amounted to:

Situation at the front: Ukrainian defense forces repel over 70 attacks

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the invading Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repulsed 3 Russian attacks near Terny, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, ZSU fought off 3 Russian troops near Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the Russian forces, who are trying to encircle Avdiivka and beat back 31 attacks in the area of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and 13 more attacks near Tonenke, Sievierne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region over the last day.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the Russian troops near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian military rebuffed 14 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the invading Russian army did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces countered 4 Russian attacks north of Pryiutne and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and repelling the invading Russian forces' assaults. Despite significant losses, the Russian troops are trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Thus, over the past day, the Russian troops made three unsuccessful assault attempts.

Russian shelling of Ukrainian territory and the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on Russian concentration areas

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 5 areas where Russian troops were concentrated.

In total, the Russian military launched 1 missile and 43 air strikes, fired 51 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks resulted in civilian casualties. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

15 settlements in Kharkiv region; 4 settlements in Donetsk region were hit by air strikes.

More than 150 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
