Russia loses cruise missile, 23 artillery systems and 910 soldiers per day — General Staff

Over the last day, 72 clashes took place in the frontline. Russian troops tried to attack in 6 directions, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled most of the attacks, eliminating 910 soldiers

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to March 12, 2024, amounted to:

Situation at the frontline: Ukrainian Defense Forces defeated 66 Russian attacks in 6 directions over the last day

According to the General Staff, near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the invading Russian army did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops fought off 15 Russian attacks near the towns of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Hryhorivka and Terny in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces countered 6 Russian attacks near Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Stupochky and east of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders countered 16 Russian attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces keep holding back the Russian troops in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Pobieda in Donetsk region, where the Russian forces, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense 21 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 7 times near Robotyne, Staromayorske and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian troops keep trying to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. During the day, they made one attempt to storm Ukrainian troops' positions.

 

Russian invaders strike in Ukraine, Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 10 areas where Russians are concentrated

In total, the Russian military launched 8 missile strikes, 114 air strikes, and fired 107 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries.

1 settlement in Chernihiv region; 4 settlements in Kharkiv region; 2 settlements in Luhansk region; 15 settlements in Donetsk region; 3 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region; and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region were hit by air strikes.

At night, Russian invaders once again attacked Ukraine using 22 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 17 attack UAVs.

More than 145 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers are actively inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 8 Russian concentration areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 1 control center.

Ukrainian missile troops struck 2 concentration areas for personnel, weapons and military equipment, the Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system and the 1L219 Zoopark counter-battery radar system.
