General Staff report: Ukrainian Defense Forces fight off Russian attacks in 8 directions, 64 combat engagements take place at the front
The operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.
In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops conducted 3 offensive attempts near the towns of Synkivka and Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces attacked Ukrainian troops 6 times near Terny and Vyimka in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces beat back 2 Russian troops' attacks near Klishchiivka and Mayorsk in Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces countered 19 Russian attacks in the areas of Stepove, Lastochkine, Sievierne, Pervomayske and Nevelske.
In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops in the areas of Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The invading Russian forces 14 times tried to break through Ukrainian troops' defenses.
In the Novopavlivka area, Ukrainian defenders repulsed a Russian attack south of Zolota Niva in Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian soldiers defeated eight Russian troops' attacks west of Verbove and near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and repelling attacks by Russian occupation forces. Despite significant losses, the Russian troops are trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, the invading Russian forces conducted four attempts to storm Ukrainian troops' positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
Russian army launches 4 missile strikes and 113 air strikes against Ukraine
Over the last day, 64 combat engagements took place. In total, the Russian military launched 4 missile strikes, 113 air strikes, and fired 105 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.
At night, Russian troops attacked Ukraine using 10 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces downed 8 attack UAVs.
6 settlements in Kharkiv region; Makiivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Lyman, 22 settlements in Donetsk region; 3 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region; Krynky and Chornobaivka in Kherson region were hit by air strikes.
More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under enemy artillery fire.
Ukrainian defense forces destroyed 2 Russian fuel depots and 3 command posts
Over the past day, Ukrainian defense aviation struck 10 Russian personnel concentration areas and 2 anti-aircraft missile systems. Also, the Ukrainian Air Force downed a Su-34 fighter bomber and 3 reconnaissance UAVs.
Ukrainian missile troops struck 5 Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration areas, 2 fuel and lubricant depots, 3 command posts, 8 artillery pieces and 1 radar station.
