Drone attack on Russian army bases in Mariupol kills at least 20 soldiers
On the night of September 11, drones allegedly attacked the temporarily occupied Mariupol district in the Donetsk region. As a result, Russian military bases were hit and over 20 soldiers were killed
Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, reports.
According to him, there were at least two strikes that night, including one on a Russian warehouse near a gas station and the former Scorpion store in the village of Melekyne near Mariupol, as well as at the Russian troops' base in a boarding house located in the village of Bilosarayska Kosa.
According to Andriushchenko, the attack on Mariupol and the district began at 3:35 a.m. and lasted until 4:15 a.m. Locals reported the sounds of explosions and air defense in Manguskyi district (part of Mariupol), as well as in Prymorskyi, Central and Kalmiuskyi districts of the city.
In addition, Russian air defense systems were spotted in the area of the slag mountain in the Luhansk region.
Last night, Russian occupation monitoring publications reported more than 70 drones flying towards Mariupol. At the same time, the Russian appointees have not yet commented on the incident.
Later, Andriushchenko, citing his own sources, clarified that the hit in Melekino was on the Russian ammunition depot. There was a detonation of ammunition that lasted more than an hour.
In addition, two Russia's recreation centers were hit. The advisor to the mayor of Mariupol noted that the dead and wounded invaders are being taken out of the city.
“Police and military are blocking the village and the highway. Ambulances are moving non-stop. According to our sources, the number of disabled invaders has reached more than 20,” said Andriushchenko.
He added that the data is currently being clarified.
