Ukrainian forces strike multiple strategic targets in Russia
In the early hours of March 11, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck multiple strategic targets inside Russia that are involved in supporting armed aggression against Ukraine
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Sraff reported the information.
The attack involved units from the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the State Security Service.
Working together, they struck the Moscow Oil Refinery, which processes 11 million tons of oil annually and supplies 40-50% of Moscow’s diesel and gasoline. Hits were recorded on its production facilities.
"Explosions were also recorded near the 'Steel Horse' linear production control station in Russia’s Oryol region," the report says. "This facility manages key operations of the Druzhba oil pipeline and plays a crucial role in supplying oil to the Ust-Luga seaport terminal in the Leningrad region."
The General Staff also noted that open sources indicate Russian air defense activity damaged several civilian infrastructure sites.
"Ukraine’s Defense Forces have precise intelligence on strategic facilities involved in Russia’s war effort. They adhere to international humanitarian law and take measures to protect civilians as much as possible," the statement added.
- On March 11, Russia claimed it had intercepted or destroyed 337 drones in what it called the largest UAV attack since the war began.
