General Staff report: Ukrainian Armed Forces beat back Russian troops' attacks in the south and east
Near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.
In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fought off 6 Russian attacks near Synkivka, Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repulsed 4 Russian troops' attacks near Terny, east of Dibrova in Donetsk region, and 5 more attacks near Makiivka and Serebryanske forestry in Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces rebuffed 7 Russian attacks near Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russian forces, which keep trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 4 Russian military attacks near Avdiivka and another 8 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region over the last day.
In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russian army near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian forces defeated 9 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fended off two Russian attacks south of Zolota Nyva and east of Staromayorske in Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled a Russian troops' attack near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to expand the foothold. Despite significant losses, the Russian troops continue trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, the Russian forces made 7 unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian military positions.
Russian army launches 6 missile strikes, 97 air strikes on Ukrainian territory
Over the last day, 58 combat engagements took place. In total, the Russian forces launched 6 missile strikes, 97 air strikes, fired 121 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
Yesterday, the Russian troops conducted another air strike using 14 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 11 drones.
5 settlements in Kharkiv region; Serebryanske Forestry, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; 12 settlements in Donetsk region; 2 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region; 5 settlements in Kherson region were hit by air strikes.
More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Ukrainian defense forces hit the area of Russian troops' concentration
Ukrainian troops continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.
During the day, Ukrainian aviation struck 6 areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated. Missile units struck 1 area of Russian forces' concentration.
