'Elite' Russian troops destroyed in Makiivka, Donetsk region - military expert Kyrychevskyi

He said this on Espreso TV. 

“As for the attack on Makiivka, the good work of Ukrainian intelligence should be noted here. The Russians are already spreading information that someone unknown set off fireworks before the attack itself and part of their military went outside, which saved their lives. That is, by this fact they admit that they did not expect at all that Ukraine's Armed Forces could strike this military facility,” Kyrychevskyi explained.

The expert emphasized that the Russian command gathered mobilized soldiers who had important military specialties in Makiivka.

“The Russians believed that the dormitory in Makiivka was a deep rear base for them. That is why they gathered not ordinary mobilized soldiers there. Communication specialists and military personnel of other important specialties were sent there. They were supposed to become the backbone of the grouping of troops in eastern Ukraine. They were 'elite' mobilized soldiers who had undergone training,” he added.
