AFU strike with HIMARS Russian barracks in Makiivka on New Year's Eve

Denys Kazansky, a reporter from Donetsk, who now lives and works in Kyiv, reported the strike.

"In Makiivka, the occupants received a good gift for the New Year. The HIMARS strike destroyed the 19th school in the village of Shliakh Illicha, where the barracks of Russian mobilized was located. There is almost nothing left of the building. In local chat rooms Makiivka residents report hundreds of dead," he said on his Telegram channel.

So much destruction occurred, according to Kazansky, also due to the fact that the Russian command also kept ammunition there.

The destruction of Makiivka vocational school №19 is confirmed by Russian sources, both propaganda and purely informational.

The same details are also available on Donetsk and Makiivka Telegram channels, whose administrators sympathize with the occupation authorities.

According to preliminary data of Russian military propagandists, mobilized men from Saratov spent the night at the school. 

There were allegedly 3 strikes around midnight. With a difference of 1 to 2 minutes.

At the same time, some propagandists demand to "punish the guilty", because, as they claim, to place personnel in an unprotected structure is "criminal".
