The fact that the tanks had arrived in Ukraine was previously reported by the press service of the Norwegian Armed Forces.

“Norway has recently prepared and transported tanks to Ukraine. Eight Norwegian tanks have reached their destination and are ready for action in the war against Russia,” the statement says.
Currently, eight tanks are operating in Ukraine, and personnel are being trained in Poland.
In addition to the donated equipment, support vehicles were also transferred. Norway also provides earmarked funds for ammunition and spare parts.
“At this time, we believe it is absolutely right to support Ukraine. It is important for Norwegian and European security that Russia does not succeed in its aggression against Ukraine,” Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram said.
On January 25, it was announced that Ukraine would receive 14 Leopard 2 tanks from the Bundeswehr, and Germany allowed partner countries to provide Ukrainian defenders with German tanks from their own stocks. On January 26, it was announced that Norway would facilitate an international donation of tanks to Ukraine.
On February 14, it was decided that Norway would donate eight Leopard 2 tanks and up to four support vehicles.
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has offered to allocate 75 billion Norwegian kroner in aid to Ukraine over five years.
Ukraine will receive from its partners at least two battalions of Leopard 2 tanks and 6-7 battalions of Leopard 1 tanks. A tank battalion can consist of 30-40 tanks (10-12 tanks per company).
