Duda: Poland realises that we are Russia's number one enemy after Ukraine

Duda said this in an interview with Dow Jones CEO Almar Latour, which was published on the official website of the Polish president.

"Today we are a logistics hub for humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine. We decided that we could cope with this task and realised that we are now Russia's number one enemy, apart from Ukraine itself. Who knows whether it would be possible to defend Ukraine today if it were not for the determination of the society that agreed to do so. For us to be safe, Ukraine has to defend itself, and in a sense, this is our sacrifice for the sake of our security and the security of our part of Europe," Duda said.  

He stressed that Poland has been helping Ukraine militarily since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.

"We handed over more than 300 tanks from our army's assets, Krab howitzers, which are among the most modern in the world. The Ukrainians asked for long-range artillery, the Krab has a range of over 40 km, and we gave them 50 howitzers. We have provided millions of rounds of ammunition and hundreds of thousands of weapons to equip Ukrainian soldiers. We donated a lot of equipment, armoured vehicles, MiG-29s from post-Soviet resources," Duda said.
