Drones, cruise and ballistic missiles: Russia strikes Kyiv again

Russia launched an attack of "extraordinary intensity" on Kyiv, using drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles at the same time — it is the eighth attack since the beginning of May

This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

At 03:00 am, a series of approximately ten explosions reverberated throughout the city. The Kyiv City Military Administration provided an update on the operations of the Air Defense Forces.

At 03:33 am, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko informed that explosions occurred in the Solomyanskyi district, and missile fragments fell within the premises of the zoo in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

"There were multiple explosions in Kyiv, primarily in the Solomyanskyi district. Additionally, missile fragments fell within the zoo premises in the Shevchenkivskyi district. As a result of these debris falling, several cars caught fire in the Solomyanskyi district, and a building covering an area of approximately 200 square meters suffered damage. Rescue teams are currently on-site," Klitschko shared via Telegram. He also mentioned that two cars were damaged in the Darnytsia district due to falling missile debris, but no information regarding casualties has been reported.

Preliminary information indicates three victims in the Solomyanskyi district, while there were no casualties reported in Obolonskyi district, where the debris fell. In the forest park zone of the Darnytskyi district, UAV wreckage fell without catching fire.

According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhii Popko, a significant majority of enemy targets within Kyiv's airspace were detected and eliminated.

"The enemy conducted a coordinated attack from various directions, employing UAVs, cruise missiles, and potentially ballistic missiles. It was an extraordinary assault in terms of intensity, involving the maximum number of missiles launched within the shortest period of time," stated Serhii Popko in a Telegram message.

Popko highlighted that the Solomyanskyi district incurred the most significant damage from falling debris.
