This was reported by the IAEA, according to Espreso.
Last week, new groups of IAEA experts arrived at the sites of the South Ukraine NPP, Chornobyl, Rivne and Khmelnytskyi NPPs. It is known that the agency established a permanent presence at these four sites in January as part of the expansion of activities to support nuclear safety and security in Ukraine during the war.
"Ukraine informed the IAEA that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was detected near the Khmelnytskyi NPP on May 29, stating that it posed a "threat to nuclear safety" from the air," the statement said.
The press service of the Khmelnytskyi NPP has not yet confirmed this information, but has not denied it either.
