Espreso TV channel comes under hacker attack
Today, on December 16, 2024, at 12:50, the Espreso TV channel has been attacked by hackers
The attackers gained unauthorized access to the TV channel's server and tried to broadcast a video with a fake address of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Russian. The content of the video repeats the narratives of the Russian PSYOP about mobilization in Ukraine. This allows us to conclude that Russian hackers were involved in the attack.
Thanks to the vigilance and professionalism of the TV channel's on-air service and technical specialists, the attack was detected in time and promptly neutralized by switching the signal. We are currently working to enhance the security of all our systems.
This is the second such attack on the TV channel in the last year. On February 19, 2024, the attackers, allegedly Russian hackers, carried out unauthorized interference with the channel's operations by broadcasting propaganda content. The TV channel reported the unauthorized interference with electronic communication networks during martial law to law enforcement agencies.
Espreso TV channel continues to work as usual and is taking additional measures to improve cybersecurity. No hacker attempts will prevent us from delivering objective information to our audience.
