Daily trials of the Crimean Tatars are underway in Rostov - Chubarov
In the occupied Crimea, repressions have become more severe, trials of Crimean Tatar activists take place daily in Crimea, and trials are held in Rostov at the same time
Refat Chubarov, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people spoke on Espreso TV about the repressions by the invaders in Crimea and the daily trials of Crimean Tatar activists.
The head of the Mejlis noted: "Citizens of Ukraine should know that not only repressions in the occupied Crimea do not stop for a minute, they have become tougher. So that Russian invaders can control the population of that peninsula that borders the Kherson region, and therefore trials are held here every day, in the so-called Supreme Court of Crimea. Just these days, there are hearings of the trial of the first deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelal, our two young activists of the Crimean Tatar National Movement Aziz and Asan Akhmetovs. Up to 20 years in prison".
Refat Chubarov said: "At the same time, courts are going on, in fact, on the territory of Russia itself in Rostov, the so-called Southern District Court. Crimean Tatars are mainly tried in Rostov as terrorists. According to the legislation of the occupying country, terrorists are tried only by military courts and the nearest military court is in Rostov. There are two or three court sessions every day, Crimean Tatars are tried. People get 13,14,17 years in prison".
