Military expert Snehyriov explains why Kerch bridge has not been destroyed yet

He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel

"According to the NATO classification, the whole range of measures that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are taking in the temporarily occupied Crimea is the first stage of de-occupation of the peninsula. In particular, the destruction of Russian air and missile defense in Crimea, as well as the Russian Air Force bases. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to destroy the airfields of Saki, Belbek and Dzhankoi," Snehyriov explained.

The expert noted that after the destruction of Russian air defense in the temporarily occupied Crimea, all bridges on the peninsula will be taken under fire control

"After the destruction of Russian air and missile defense in Crimea, taking into account the logistical vulnerability of the peninsula, the main locations - the Crimean Bridge and the Chonhar bridges - will be taken under fire control. That is why the Crimean Bridge has not yet been destroyed. It will not be destroyed until the Russian air and missile defense systems, as well as the places where their aircraft are based in Crimea, are destroyed. There is no point in hitting the Crimean bridge if their air defense can destroy our missiles and drones," he added.

• On the evening of May 23, explosions were heard in different cities of the temporarily occupied Crimea. The occupation authorities reported hitting an "empty agricultural facility" in Alushta. There has been no official data from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
