Construction of Bayraktar production plant starts in Ukraine
As of July 10, the Turkish company Baykar has already begun construction of a plant for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine
Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, announced the information on the United News telethon.
"As for the plant, construction work has already begun, it is now being built in reality, not just in the memorandum. However, the memorandum encompasses more than just the construction of the plant, which I cannot talk about yet," emphasized Kamyshin.
Earlier, on July 8, during the visit of the President of Ukraine to Turkey, a new memorandum was signed with the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey on the development of capacities and capabilities for the production of various types of UAVs.
"Production on the territory of Ukraine is in question, this is the same large Bayraktar drones plant that was agreed upon a few years ago. Progress on the plant has faced delays and controversies in the past. Today, this plant is being built, we have moved on to tangible steps," the minister said.
