Ukrainian children taken to Moscow for forced assimilation under holiday pretext
Russian invaders took 12 children from the local social shelter in temporarily occupied Khartsyzk, Donetsk region, to Moscow for the "Christmas holidays"
This is reported by the National Resistance Center.
"Twelve children from the temporarily occupied city of Khartsyzsk have been taken by Russian occupiers to Moscow under the pretext of the so-called Christmas holidays. All the children are residents of the Khartsyzsk 'social' shelter, which houses those who lost their parents due to the Russian invasion," the Center says.
The shelter also houses children who lived on the frontlines and lost their homes.
During their stay in Moscow, the children will be involved in propaganda tours to places of "glory" in Russia. At the same time, Ukrainian children will have the "opportunity" to live with Russian families for the purpose of assimilation.
"Russia is committing genocide against Ukrainians, openly denying the Ukrainian nation’s right to exist. One of the most chilling aspects of this policy is the deliberate effort to alter the self-identity of Ukrainian children. This is not merely a policy but an attempt to destroy the nation and erase Ukrainians’ connection to their past," emphasizes the Center.
- In early December, it was revealed that Russia had begun taking children from the temporarily occupied Donetsk region to Yekaterinburg, where they are being subjected to propaganda and educational activities.
