Chinese Premier Li Qiang began his first foreign trip as Chinese head of government with visits to Germany and France from June 18 to 23
This is reported by Xinhua.
It has been revealed that during his visit to Berlin, Li expressed China's willingness to work together with Germany and enhance bilateral relations in various ways.
"The Chinese side is ready to engage in frank and in-depth exchanges with the German side based on the principles of mutual respect, seeking common ground while reserving differences, and achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, to further explore cooperation potential, properly handle differences, and enrich their all-round strategic partnership, so as to send a positive and strong signal for maintaining stable global supply chains and world peace and prosperity,” he said.
During his time in Germany, Li is expected to meet with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, engage in discussions with Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and co-chair the Seventh Sino-German Intergovernmental Consultations. This marks the first interaction between the newly formed governments of both countries.
Furthermore, Chinese business representatives accompanying Li will have meetings with German industrial and business circles as part of the Sino-German Economic and Technical Cooperation Forum. There will also be a round table for entrepreneurs from both nations, along with visits to the headquarters of major German corporations in Bavaria by the Chinese delegation.
Following his visit to Germany, Li will travel to France to attend the New Global Financing Pact summit, which he was invited to by the French government.
