According to the source, after a meeting at the Shangri-La Dialogue security forum, Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu offered to use "all possible means" to try to end the war, and also promised to expand military ties with Ukraine.
"They’re ready for communication to expand the contacts between Ukrainian and Chinese military leadership. I hope we will see some dynamics after the meeting," said Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Volodymyr Havrylov.
For reference. The Shangri-La Dialogue is the largest security forum in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). This year it takes place in Singapore on June 2-4.
- On June 2, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov arrived in Singapore to participate in the Shangri-La Dialogue security forum. On the first day, Reznikov met with his Singaporean, Australian, and New Zealand colleagues, as well as with the head of the Pentagon.
