Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces Wayne Eyre visits Ukraine and meets with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi
Zaluzhnyi shared the news on Telegram.
"I am pleased to welcome the Chief of Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces, General Wayne Eyre, to Ukraine. We had a frank conversation. I informed my counterpart in detail about the operational situation at the front. I paid special attention to the eastern direction. We discussed the supply of military aid – weapons and ammunition," informed Zaluzhnyi.
He promised that Ukraine and Canada will continue to develop cooperation in the field of security and defence.
"I am grateful to General Wayne Eyre, the government and the Canadian people for their consistent and clear support of our country," Zaluzhnyi wrote.

On March 2, Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand said that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression, Ottawa has sent more than 3,500 tons of military aid and $1 billion to Ukraine.
