Cars hit mines in Sumy and Kharkiv regions: 5 people wounded
On September 6, in Bilopillia, Sumy region, a car carrying civilians exploded on an enemy mine, injuring the driver and two of his passengers
This was reported by the press service of the Sumy regional police.
"As the police have previously established, the 58-year-old driver of a car lost control, as a result of which he drove to the roadside and hit an anti-tank mine. The vehicle then caught fire," the statement said.
An investigation into attempted murder has been opened.
The wounded are in hospital.
At the same time, the press service of the Kharkiv regional police reported a similar incident. Two men, aged 29 and 25, were injured there.
"On September 6, at about 09:00, the police department No. 1 of the Izyum district police department received a report that a GAZ-53 had previously exploded on an anti-tank mine in the Nortsovka forestry near the village of Nortsovka," the statement said.
Law enforcement officials clarified that the victims are in hospital.
