Canadian Parliament recognizes Wagner PMC as terrorist organization
The Lower house of Parliament of Canada unanimously supported the resolution of sending the government a proposal regarding the official recognition of Wagner PMC as terrorist organization.
According to Ukrinform, the MP from New Democratic Party, Heather McPherson, made a corresponding statement to the session hall.
"Given the information about violations of human rights by Russian-backed Wagner group and attacks on civilians in Ukraine, as well as in other parts of the world, House of Commons calls on the government to immediately recognize Wagner group as a terrorist organization," the resolution says.
It should be noted that in Canada, the decision to include certain organizations in the terrorist list belongs to the powers of the government, so this resolution is advisory and not mandatory.

Last week State Department and the US Treasury Department declared the Russian Wagner PMC a transnational criminal organization, which provides for the introduction of additional sanctions.
