Canada announces new aid package for Ukraine
Ottawa has announced a new $29 million aid package to Kyiv which will include ammunition and sniper rifles
This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Canada.
The decision to provide another package was announced by Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand during a meeting of Ukraine's allies in the Ramstein format in Germany.
The package includes a $28.9 million contribution to the Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine (CAP) Trust Fund. In particular, Kyiv will receive 40 .50 calibre sniper rifles and ammunition from Prairie Gun Works.
In addition, Ottawa will donate 16 radio sets to accompany the Leopard 2 tank from L3 Harris Technologies.
"The donations and support announced by Canada today will help ensure that Ukraine has what it needs to defend its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity," Anand said.
