He expressed his opinion on the air of Espreso.TV

"The whole environment that surrounds us inevitably suffers from war. On the one hand, as the death of all living things, I mean nothing living - neither animals nor plants can survive in conditions of explosions, in conditions of fires, in conditions of contamination with chemicals contained in any ammunition. We need to see this the same way as the destruction of our own habitat. Our organism is no different from the organism of life of any other animal. Environmental pollution by explosions or fires from burning tank farms also harms both us and all living organisms. The burning of forests in the Chernobyl zone is the destruction of nature, but in a certain way it is nuclear terrorism, which threatens Ukrainians with environmental pollution with radionuclides", Vasylyuk said.

The ecologist also added that the invaders resorted to terrorism due to the deterioration of our conditions of existence.

"The burning of oil depots is a tactical step on the part of the invader to reduce the amount of fuel for us, on the other hand, it is the destruction of the environment, the destruction of high-quality air that guarantees our health and long life. In fact, the Russian army resorted to terrorism due to the deterioration of the conditions of our existence. A lot of oil depots have been destroyed, a lot of industrial enterprises with various storage facilities have been destroyed, for example, ammonia in Sumy, or a storage facility for other chemicals in Rubizhne. This means that they act like terrorists not only in relation to people's lives, but also in relation to the environment in which we live. They destroy the environment that guarantees us a quality standard of living", Vasylyuk summed up.
