Bucha massacre is a crime against humanity that will not have a statute of limitations - diplomat
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the UK 2005-2010 diplomat Igor Kharchenko believes that the killings of the civilian population that Russia committed in Bucha are crimes against humanity
He spoke about this on Espreso.TV.
"A few hours ago, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry raised a question before the International Criminal Court about the situation that we saw in Bucha. It's hard to talk about it now. The world is in shock. Many are already comparing the situation in Bucha with the events in the Balkan Peninsula (Massacre in Srebrenica - ed.) I just want to emphasize that we are dealing with a country run by the mafia. In the mid-2000s, the whole world was shocked by the poisoning of Lytvynenko in the UK. The well-known Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky then said that this was only the beginning", Kharchenko said
The diplomat added that even then Bukovsky noted in his interview to the British media that Russia is led by the KGB. According to him, these are bandits who divide the world into opponents and agents.
"Even then, Bukovsky emphasized that the world does not know with whom it is dealing. I would like the world to react to the atrocities of the Russians in Bucha, because what happened simply stood out in everyone's mind. It is beyond good and evil. Everyone involved in this massacre must be punished, starting with Putin. The world must understand that it is not a crime against Ukraine, it is a crime against humanity", Kharchenko added.
