British intelligence reveals where Russia sent paratroopers who were in Kherson
Russia has probably transferred main paratroopers units to particularly dangerous areas of Donetsk and Luhansk fronts
Military intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain reports.
"In the last two weeks, Russia has likely redeployed major elements of the VDV (airborne forces) to the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts in the Donbas,” the intelligence report says.
Some units of Russian Airborne Forces were probably reinforced by mobilized reservists.
"Although these poorly trained personnel will dilute VDV’s supposedly elite capability, Russia will likely still allocate these units to sectors deemed especially important," the intelligence suggests.
Potential operational tasks of Russian Airborne Forces include supporting defense of Kreminna-Svatove district in Luhansk region or strengthening offensive operations against Bakhmut city in Donetsk region, according to the Ministry of Defense of Britain.
