This was stated by EU foreign policy representative Josep Borrell at a briefing.

"We agreed that we must be ready to respond to the negative consequences of this Russian aggression against Ukraine, which, unfortunately, does not seem like it will stop anytime soon," Borrell said.

He emphasized that a full-scale war affects not only Ukraine and the Russian Federation, it affects the security and stability of the entire European continent, and also affects the situation in the world.

"We discussed, for example, the catastrophic impact that this war could have if Russia continues to gamble around Ukrainian nuclear plants, especially in Zaporizhzhia," Borrell said.

The heads of foreign affairs of the EU countries also discussed political, military, economic and humanitarian support for Ukraine.
