Border with Belarus is strengthened as much as possible in terms of defence - Ukraine’s State Border Service

This was stated by the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko on Espreso TV.

"The situation along the border with Belarus and in the border area remains under control. We do not record any movement or sharp increase of military equipment or manpower near the border now and also during the sudden check of the readiness of the units of the Armed Forces of Belarus," he noted.

Demchenko emphasized that the attention of the State Security Service is focused on the depths of Belarus.

"We understand that Belarus has been actively supporting the Russian Federation in the war for a long time. Even this inspection, which took place on the other side of the border in recent days, does not change anything for us, because we are strengthening our border with Belarus, both along the border line and in the border areas. In order for our forces on the border to be able to deter any enemy of Belarus or Russia. As of now, the border is maximally strengthened in terms of defence in order to respond to all possible challenges in this direction," concluded the spokesperson of Ukraine’s State Border Service.
