Bodies of 7 more civilians exhumed in recaptured Mykolaiv region
In the de-occupied Mykolaiv region, law enforcement officers have exhumed the bodies of 7 Ukrainians who were buried with violations due to the occupation.
This is reported by the National Police of the Mykolaiv region.
"Stabilization measures continue on the territory of the Mykolaiv region liberated from the Russian occupiers, in particular investigators are working on exhuming the bodies of the dead," the National police emphasizes.
In particular, in Tsentralne village, Snihurivka distict, an 82-year-old woman died as a result of a Russian shell hitting the yard of her own house. The woman was in the yard and received numerous mine-blast injuries. Because of the Russian occupation, the family buried her among the trees in the garden, near the house.
In the village of Vavilove, in the garden of a private house, the burial place of another 64-year-old local resident who died due to illness was found. The family buried her on their own, also near the house.
Also in the village of Lyubomyryivka, in the yard, a wife buried her husband who died due to shelling by Russian soldiers. The locals took 3 more bodies to the cemetery.
Law enforcement officers exhumed the body from the yard of the local penal colony. The convict died due to illness.
"Law enforcement officers exhumed the dead and sent their bodies for forensic examination. After establishing the final cause of death, the bodies were returned to relatives for reburial according to all customs," the National Police added.
