Blowing up Kakhovska HPP dam will cause more harm to Russian troops on left bank of Dnipro - Zgurets
Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets is convinced that blowing up the Kakhovska HPP dam will do more harm to Russian troops on the left bank of the Dnipro
He expressed his opinion on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"If the Russians dare to blow up the dam of the Kakhovska HPP, the left bank of the Dnipro will be flooded more. A large number of Russian troops are located there. In particular, the command and artillery, which is shelling the territory of Ukraine on the right bank of the Dnipro. Therefore, blowing up the dam and spilling water creates a greater threat for the Russian troops," explained Zgurets.
The expert also added that the undermining of the Kakhovska HPP dam affects the Zaporizhzhya NPP’s functioning.
"The undermining of the Kakhovska HPP dam will not stop the advance of the Ukrainian army, but will make the actions of the Russian military group more difficult. Therefore, we should expect more complex scenarios. The undermining of the Kakhovska HPP dam will also threaten the Zaporizhia NPP. Since water is needed to cool the power units of the NPP," he added.
