Ukraine's State Customs Service reported the information on Facebook.
“According to information from the Polish side, local farmers announced a possible protest action in the form of blocking the movement of trucks in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint from October 8 to December 31, 2024,” the statement says.
The service added that currently the registration of vehicles is carried out as usual. In the event of a strike, further changes in the situation will be reported additionally.
From November 2023 until the summer of this year, Polish farmers periodically blocked checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, particularly insisting on a ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
