Ukraine transports record 55 million tons of cargo via its sea corridor
Over 10 months of the Ukrainian sea corridor's operation, 55 million tons were transported, which is a record amount of cargo
The Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reports.
According to the report, 1,954 vessels were loaded in 10 months, and 37.4 million tons of agricultural products were exported to 45 countries through the sea corridor.
"55 million tons of cargo - the cargo turnover of the ports of Greater Odesa for 10 months of the Ukrainian corridor," the Ministry said.
The report also emphasizes that Ukraine remains "a top exporter of agricultural products and a guarantor of food security in the world," despite Russia's constant bombardment of port infrastructure.
Also, 68 ships are currently waiting to approach the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi, which export almost 2 million tons of cargo.
