In Belarus, military units are brought to higher levels of combat readiness, and inspection staffing is increased by enlisting reserves

Russians intensify their counterintelligence measures in Donetsk
In the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region, the number of roadblocks and patrols has increased around the village of Hrafske. At these checkpoints, the enemy is actively ‘filtering’ the local population. Similarly, in Blahodatne, Donetsk region, Russians are limiting traffic routes to taxi drivers and requiring registration for local residents, fearing the release of information regarding the location of their occupying units.
Russians have been attempting to advance in four directions
Despite suffering significant losses in both equipment and personnel, Russians persist in their efforts to launch offensives in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions.
However, on April 12, the Ukrainian military repelled more than 45 enemy attacks.
Situation by directions
The situation on the northern and northeastern border with Belarus and Russia remained unchanged. Russian forces keep certain units in the Kursk and Belgorod regions bordering Ukraine and fortify the area with engineering equipment.
Some Russian units are still present in Belarus. The Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are undergoing a thorough evaluation of their combat readiness, with specific compounds and units being raised to higher levels of readiness. To support the inspection, additional staffing of the involved units was achieved by drafting reserve servicemen.
During the day, Russian troops fired on 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 14 in the Sumy region and 11 in the Kharkiv region.
The situation in other directions is as follows:
In the Kupiansk direction, 7 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under Russian fire.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives in the area of Bilohorivka over the last day. They shelled 4 settlements in the Luhansk region and 3 more in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops attack Bakhmut, trying to take full control of the city; fierce fighting continues. During the day, they launched unsuccessful offensives near Bohdanivka and Khromove. Twelve settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from shelling.
In Avdiivka and Marinka directions, Russian forces attacked 4 settlements, but were unsuccessful. The fiercest fighting is taking place near Marinka. At the same time, 15 settlements in the Donetsk region came under fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian forces did not launch any offensives over the last day. They fired at 6 settlements in the Donetsk region.
In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They shelled more than 35 settlements. Among them are 8 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 6 more in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
Russia launched 2 missile attacks and 32 air strikes on Ukraine
Russia has once again shown a blatant disregard for the laws and customs of war, leading to a high likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine.
In the past 24 hours, the enemy has carried out 2 missile strikes and 32 air strikes, in addition to launching over 40 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian troops positions and civilian infrastructure. Civilians have been killed and injured in the attacks.
Two Russian missiles fired from the S-300 air defense system struck the civilian infrastructure of Sloviansk.
The Ukrainian military successfully downed two Orlans, targeted ammunition depots and Russian personnel positions
Throughout the day, Ukrainian aviation conducted six strikes on the Russian personnel and military equipment positions. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed two enemy UAVs of the Orlan-10 type.
The missile forces and artillery units successfully attacked four personnel and military equipment positions. They also targeted two enemy ammunition depots and one enemy radar station.

Previous reports revealed that the enemy was establishing bases in schools in the Kherson region, leading to a humanitarian crisis in the area.
